In this, the seventh novel of the Missy series, the action gets even more intense. Along with the water witch abilities she received in the 6th novel, Missy now has acquired the abilities of a fire witch like her friend Tracy, and she uses both to continue assisting the government with rendering the terrorist organization WIJO ineffective in their efforts to attack the United States. Two things about this novel compared to some of the previous novels, is that the author has read the feedback on many of the other reviews and has not spent so much time rehashing all the things that occurred in the previous novels, and the sex scenes that could go on for many pages are now presented in just a paragraph or so. I think both of these changes allow more room for the story and make for a better novel.
While there is less ACTION in this book than the predecessors, the writing skill continues to improve and the story evolves exceptionally well. I also enjoyed the evolution of the protagonist and antagonists (new and old) alike. If anything, this book has me rivited on what comes next, and how Missy will deal with a much more dangerous enemy.--------After reading other reviews, i wanted to add some comments.I disagree with the comment about commentary and this book being the worst in series for it. The truth is that it is more like when the 2% seems dirtier when the rest is clean, and i believe that the author has greatly improved the narrative in this way.Second... If you are posting a spoiler... You are wrong... But at least warn folks so they can skip.Finally... Mr. Allison, i agree about the sex scenes. I simply skipped over them... But have read enough of them to know that they add no value to your books. We men are blunt thinkers, and female RAs are far more circumspect. In truth, your romance scenes are actually more difficult to get through than Nora Roberts by a wide margin, and provide no balance to your stories.---------All that said... Please consider a partial shift... Please interact more... And please keep up the great story!!!
FABULOUS! Missy's Operation Demon Lore is another great addition to all of Missy's other adventures. P. G. Allison is such a talented writer and Missy is a wonderful character. Her sense of duty and her willingness to help is so strong she really puts herself on the line. The way she goes the extra mile for her friends and roommates at West Point really sets her apart from most people and makes her stand out as a good person. It is very funny how she is messing with all the terrorists and making life very hard for them. I can't wait for Missy's next great adventure. Hope it will be coming real soon. I would recommend this book to any adult reader who enjoys sexy shifter romances with a ton of action and excitement to go along with all the humor.
Another great adventure about Missy, the warrior werecat witch. Missy is having a busy time, dealing with terrorists and wiseguys, in addition to her heavy schedule of classes and sports at West Point and her crowded social life. The American government is increasingly using her talents as they become more aware of what she can do. And her talents continue to grow!I love this series and highly recommend it to those enjoying reading about powerful young women. There is explicit sex, more than necessary, but less than too much.
A very engaging read with multi-story lines. You want terrorist, traditional gangsters, college exam cheating, and romance - you have got it all in this book. This is a great book in one of the best series out there. The author knows how to write a very readable book with great story lines. There is not a slow spot in the entire book. I got the book the day it was published on Amazon, and I read through the entire book that day ending around midnight. I need another Missy fix and can not wait for the next book.
I was so excited to get another adventure featuring Missy and her friends. Now that Missy has gotten a handle on her earth witch powers, she has a whole new set of powers to work with. As Missy continues to grow and fulfill her dreams, she is faced with a criminal from the past who is determined to make her pay. Little does he know that Missy doesn’t know the meaning of the word quit!Loved this book, and I’m happily awaiting the audiobook which PG Allison said will be out in December ðŸ‘ðŸ¼
Missy is back settling in to her new quarters with a new roomie, WIJIO has singled Missy and Oliver, the finder witch from Boston for surveillance as suspected "Deamons". P-Branch is branching out and in need of more funds, bringing more government people into the, need to know catagory exposing Missy and friends to possible exposure to the world. Stung by their utter failure in America, WIJIO is looking to other country's and the U.S. is keen on foiling their plans across the pond!
