As usual, this book is another in the author's series of Blue Books. My last one was the 9th edition, and I just wanted an updated version, as the last one was fine. No one can cover everything in a manageable paperback, but the author(s) have done a fine job. I (for one) would be inclined to pay extra for a two-volume set that gives more details in some areas,but as said above, no one can cover everything in a manageable size. I find that any queries that are not covered in detail can be found on the net. Nice job, guys. And nice job Amazon for selecting yet another good book and making it available. AND the DVD version is alsovery handy. Go no further...go Amazon!
I was really looking forward to receiving this book. It is very well done and has lots of information, but sadly my guitar (the reason for ordering it) was not listed. I was hoping to see something about a Gibson SJ-300. Nada! Lots of info about the J-200 & SJ-200's.
When I tried to look up several models of Alvarez Yairi listed on EBay, none of them were in the book.When I wanted to determine the value of my Dauphin classical guitar (for which there are plenty of references on the Web), it wasn't there.Clearly, while it is good for what it is, its applications are limited
This book's description is not what I thought it was. Probably is good for someone who wants to see a range of prices of guitars. I was looking for something else about a certain guitar.I returned this book for a refund.
Its got everything you want to know...more than books that have other equipment, like amps and electric guitars, listed as well.

Nearly every guitar produced is covered in this guide. If you have an obscure instrument and the book doesn't have much information on it, it not only tells you why there isn't much information on it, but it also gives you another resource where there may be the information you are looking for.Easily worth the purchase price.
The book is detailed and it requires my full attention to get the full benefit. It is not possible to have every single guitar in it, but they did a great job! I do recommend the book as a great reference guide, especially if you are looking at an older guitar to buy or sell.
